When I set out to conquer the blog world by sharing my story, I certainly did not do it for any form of fame or glory. When I announced my adoption plans, I didn't do so to get compliments about how extraordinary I am or how devoted I am to children...
Truth is: I actually dislike a lot of public attention because deep down I'm actually quite shy.
I am sharing my journey because when I started out, I had very few resources out there to tell me about being an adoptive single parent. I didn't know the first thing about the process, costs, benefits and trials of the whole thing. As a single man, it is also tougher to find resources out there.
Whether you are single, married, partnered doesn't matter to me. I think children need loving, accepting homes where they can thrive. There are so many homes and families available for children in need, there shouldn't be orphans wandering the streets or left in garbage piles.
I am hoping to touch others' lives by providing a resource and an outlet to learn more. Maybe someone else will choose to adopt because of my example. Maybe they will read my messages where I have never given up hope and say "Hey, maybe I can change an orphan's life!" Not for personal glory, but for the sake of doing something good to help another human being.

The two above girls are hardly underprivileged orphans though. They're very much loved and taken care of. I am sharing this above photograph because I promised the mother of these two girls that I would share this one.
