Its not even noon and I've had several Happy Father's Day messages from friends. I love holidays and appreciate all the well-wishes and happiness bestowed from friends...
But its a weird catch-22.
You see... I'm not a father. Not really. Kabaale isn't my son, yet. He's what I call my hopeful-son. And I'm his hopeful-father. Its not the same as everyone else.
It is not that he's legally mine and I'm just waiting to travel to pick him up. I'm not even finished with the paperwork yet.
He is my hopeful son. And so I think people like me see a new holiday greeting...
So I wish everyone in my situation a "Happy Hopeful Father's Day" to all the "expectant" fathers out there who are waiting for children to come into their lives.
